FAQs

Do I need to sign up for an account at thebay.com to become a Rewards member or to access my Rewards account?

Yes, you need to link your Rewards account to your account at thebay.com in order to take full advantage of all of the features and benefits, including viewing your points balance, redeeming your points online, managing your account, setting up your PIN and receiving exclusive offers.

Can I redeem my points for a Hudson’s Bay gift card?

We’ve changed our redemption process so gift cards are no longer a part of it. Instead, you can redeem your points instantly to pay for purchases at checkout both online and in store.

Before your program changed, I was already a Rewards member. What happens to my existing account?

Before the program changed, if you were the original account holder, you’ll still keep the same Hudson’s Bay Rewards number and points. However, if you were an authorized user on someone else’s account, you’ll need to create a new account to start earning points.

Did I lose any of my Hudson’s Bay Rewards points since you changed your program?

If you’re the primary account holder, you’ll still keep all of the points you previously earned. However, if you were the supplemental cardholder for an account, you’ll need to create a new account for yourself to start earning points; unfortunately none of the points on the account you previously shared can be split up or transferred.

Do I need my Hudson’s Bay Rewards Card to earn points online and in store?

As long as you’ve linked your card number to your online account, you’ll earn points shopping at thebay.com. To ensure you earn points in store, just provide your phone number or email address to the associate. Or, if you’re paying with Hudson’s Bay Credit, you’ll automatically earn points online or in store as your Hudson’s Bay Credit and Rewards accounts are linked.
